Handley X-Series Stain is a traditional “NGR type” dye based solvent stain concentrate for a natural look on all suitable substrates. Colours are based on customer feedback include Dark Walnut, Brown Cedar, Black, Walnut and Mahogany.
Coverage: 8-10 sqm per litre (porosity dependent) of diluted stain.
Uses: natural looking penetrative dye based stain for timber surfaces.
Application:
Surface must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease or dust
All previous coatings must be removed
The surface should be fine sanded with a 150 grit sandpaper or screen disc and then vacuumed thoroughly
Dilute X-Series stain concentrate 3:1 with Peep Solvent and stir thoroughly
Apply liberally with Handley approved floor coating applicator or soft brush taking care to even out puddles of stain
Allow to dry for 24 hours before coating with Handley Polyurethane (moisture curing or waterborne)
Clean up with Handley Brush Cleaner
Features:
3 to 1 dilution with Handley “Peep” Solvent for economy and ease of application
Can be blended to to customer colour
Application via applicator, brush or ragging
Can be over coated with Handley solvent based or waterbased polyurethane
